🖤 Black November 🖤
Happy Monday!
Let’s not waste any time.
For the 4th year in a row, Free Thanksgiving is back at Ibotta.
Now through Nov 22, you can get 100% cash back on a turkey, gravy, corn muffin mix, and more while supplies last. 🦃
To redeem the offer, you’ll just need to create a free Ibotta account, buy the exact products listed on the app at any of the participating retailers, and submit your receipt for cash back. **
If you’re already an Ibotta member, you’ll need to complete a bonus to unlock the items.
You can choose the turkey bonus for 16 redemptions or the sides bonus for 4 redemptions.
Once you meet the required number of redemptions, the 100% cash-back offers will be unlocked and you’ll be able to start working on the other bonus.
This is the only time of year we use Ibotta because these bonuses can get you to $20 cash back quickly which is the required minimum to cash out.
🧊 November 15th is Clean Out Your Fridge Day and while there are no freebies for it, it is a great idea to clean out your fridge in preparation for Thanksgiving leftovers.
Don’t know where to start? Here’s a step-by-step guide:
Take everything out.
Discard opened jars of things that are expired or you know you aren’t going to use in the foreseeable future.
Wash down and disinfect the inside walls of the refrigerator, the shelves, and all along the door seal.
Wash everything going back in — bins, racks, and even the outsides of jars.
Create next week’s meal plan based on what you’re keeping. Challenge yourself to ONLY use what you already have.
Vacuum the coils at the back of the fridge, if your model has them.
Clean the floor underneath the fridge.
Clean the top of the fridge.
🥤 November 16th is Red Cup Day at Starbucks. You’ll get a free 16oz reusable holiday cup with any limited-edition holiday drink order.
🖼 On November 18th, Lowes is hosting a kids DIY workshop. Littles can make a Thanksgiving turkey photo holder for free from 10a to 1pm.
🏡 ⅓ of Your Mortgage 🏡
The average size of the American home has nearly tripled in size over the past 50 years yet a 2012 study from UCLA found that of the 1,344 square feet on one family’s first floor, only 528 square feet were used regularly, just shy of 40%.
Make use of your extra space by renting a room on Airbnb. 🛌 The holiday season is the best time to get into Airbnb because people are only looking for a space to sleep away from their family, not a place to hang out during the day.
Use this tool to see how many nights you’d need to rent a room in your house to earn $1,000. Our estimate is 17 nights (But I always find Airbnb estimates to be very conservative, it’s probably closer to 15!)
And heads up, week we’ll be sharing an episode all about how to use Airbnb Rooms and Co-Hosting to make extra cash!

🖤 Black November 🖤
Why are we fooling ourselves? Black Friday is officially Black November and the only people who don’t agree are the people trying to make you feel less slimy about impulse spending all your money. 🤷♀️
Regardless of what they’re calling it or will call it in the future (Black Sabbath?), you know the bark (marketing) is usually bigger than the bite (deal).
If you want a real deal, install the Rakuten browser extension to make sure you’re getting cash back on everything you buy this season and get a $40 cash back welcome bonus. $40 is hard to save nowadays so take advantage of the biggest welcome bonus of the year right here. **
Have you ever thought about renting a room in your house on Airbnb? |
