🥰 Feeling Cute 🥰
Hey there my cool caffeinated cats!
You certainly read that subject line correctly.
National Coffee Day is coming up (Sept. 29th) and we’ve got all the deets on where you can get yourself some free mud. ☕
But first, starting today you can head to COVIDtests.gov to request 4 free at-home tests. The at-home tests set to be delivered will detect currently circulating variants and are intended for use through the end of 2023. They’ll also come with instructions for how people can verify if a test’s expiration date has been extended.
Ok, now back to the fun stuff…
☕ September 29th is National Coffee Day! Last year Wawa, Krispy Kreme, and Panera all offered FREE coffees - no purchase necessary - and they’re rumored to do it again (just be sure you are a rewards member to each of these locations). You can also check out places like Dunkin, Tim Hortons, Peets, or your local coffee shop for discounted coffee and other deals!
🥞 September 26th is National Pancake Day and while IHOP observes its own day earlier in the year, there are plenty of other locations offering freebies or discounts on this day. Check your local breakfast spots for deals like this and this!
💉 Not to bring the mood down or anything, but September 28th is World Rabies Day. There are many events worldwide to raise awareness AND many offer free vaccinations for your pets. Check here for events happening in your area (or ask your local vet about how they are observing this day).
🧓🏼 Your Cost of Living Bill in Retirement 🧓🏼
Now that you have your coffee, let’s talk about the future. Are you currently investing for retirement by contributing to a Roth or traditional IRA? Do you have a 401(k)? Have you ever changed jobs? Did you make sure to take your old 401(k) with you?
If you’re unsure or all of this sounds confusing, it’s very possible you have a 401(k) with a previous job that you still need to do something with! Check out Capitalize, they will do the hunting for any of your old 401(k)’s and help you roll them over into an IRA for FREE so that it’s not money you end up forgetting about! **
AND if this bill has caught you with some nervous sweats, check out EP 291 - What To Do If You Have Nothing Saved For Retirement where we go over the basics of what you can do to get started on the right path for the future.
