Happy hump day hunnies!
Black Friday deals are out in full force and the only reason they’re still calling it Black Friday is because Black November sounds too ominous for some people.
Here’s our take on Black “Friday.”
You go shopping for things you need every week and there’s a high likelihood of you buying additional things for the holidays.
So let's take advantage of the sales on things we need, things we’ve wanted for a while, and things we know we’ll buy anyways.
Now, here are our tips for utilizing Black Friday without succumbing to the impulse buying that these stores really want from you.
How to Utilize Black Friday Deals:
1. BlackFriday.com has every ad for every major store in one place 📰, no need to buy a newspaper or subscribe to an email list.
2. If you are shopping Amazon, use camelcamelcamel to check the price of the item for the last 180 days. 💰 That way you can see if it’s an artificial markdown or a legitimately good deal.
3. Shopping for clothes? 👗 Download the Beni browser extension first. Beni searches the top secondhand sites like Poshmark and ThredUP to show you comparable secondhand options on any clothing item you’re looking for.
4. CNET Shopping is a browser extension 🌐 that price compares the product you’re looking at with other stores in real-time.
5. Stores are price-matching. 🤝🏻 Many stores are price matching but it looks like Target’s policy is the most generous. Now through Dec 24, if you purchase an item in store or online and the price goes lower at Target on or before December 24, 2023, you can request a price match. More info here.
6. Lastly, think in 3-month increments. Don’t buy a deal because you were planning to get it in some ambiguous time in the future. 📆 If you will not NEED it or use it by the end of February, you do not need to buy it on Black Friday. That goes for computers, TVs, mattresses, etc.

If you don’t have the Rakuten browser extension installed yet, it’s time to do that now.
It won’t save you a ton of money but it’s like the icing on the cake of a really great deal… and no extra hoops to jump through to get it.
That’s right. No clipping coupons, selecting rebates, or scanning receipts. The browser extension pops up whenever there’s cash back to be had on a site, click one button, and that cash back is yours. With just a $5 minimum threshold to cash out!
And you have one more day to take advantage of the biggest welcome bonus of the year: $40 cash back!
Just sign up and make a cash-back eligible purchase of $40 or more before the end of the year and you’re set. **
