Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah Frugal Friends!
You’re hearing from the entire Frugal Friends team today!
As we wind down the final days of 2024, we all want to share our gratitude for the ways this community has impacted our lives and finances this past year.
We’d love to write you all a handwritten thank you note on a fancy holiday card, but let’s just pretend this email is as cute as all that!
💌 Love letters from the Frugal Friends Team
This past year, I have been so grateful for all the emails we've received from listeners sharing about the ways they are implementing values-based spending, or their experiences paying off debt, or shifting spending habits. It's been SO encouraging! We can often wonder if our content is making much of a difference and I appreciate it when our frugal friends tell us about the difference it IS making. It truly inspires us to keep going.

I'm so grateful for how 'seen' I feel by our frugal listeners and readers! This year especially I noticed more and more messages/reviews from you all saying things like "the pod feels like I am chatting with my good friends" or "your advice is down-to-earth and attainable". And it struck me that this also means you all are giving US permission to be authentic, honest, transparent, and best of all NOT perfect on this money journey. I feel the safest with you, my frugal friends, and for that I am immensely thankful. <3

Being part of the Frugal Friends team means I get to see the impact the podcast has on people’s lives. This year, listeners' stories and wins have been especially so inspiring and have helped me stay grounded in my values. Seeing how the community shows up and puts what they've learned into action is such a beautiful reminder of why this work matters. Plz keep the BOTWs coming!!! :)

This year, I'm grateful for the Frugal Friends community because I feel like I've found a safe space to explore my creativity! Writing the Friendletter for our readers has nurtured my love of writing and given me permission to explore new ways to engage with my finances. I feel like I'm learning alongside our community and that's really special to me. 💝

When I stumbled across the Frugal Friends podcast in 2023, I never could have imagined all the impacts this community has had on my life! Seeing the stories and questions of other Frugal Friends made me realize I’m not on this journey alone. Writing the Friendletter gives me space to learn more about finances in general, but it also challenges me to be more honest and transparent about my financial realities and personal values. I realized early on I couldn’t feel comfortable writing the newsletter if I wasn’t following through with the concepts and action steps myself. And this sense of discomfort also motivated me to be more comfortable sharing my challenges and wins with my real life, in-person community! I’m grateful for the Frugal Friends community for showing up, in all seasons, and making space for us to learn and grow together! 💕
