Hey there and happy Monday!

Now that it’s officially fall, we’re rounding up some fun activities and food you can enjoy.

AND this week is all about the kiddos so if you’ve got kids 👧🏼👦🏽 or are really good at acting like a kid… here we go!

🛼 October is roller skating MONTH and you can celebrate with free passes for your kids! Join the Kids Skate Free program and use the search function to find a participating location near you!

🥯 October 4th is National Cinnamon Bun Day! To celebrate last year, Cinnabon offered BOGO rolls so check them out AND hit up your local bakery to see what deals you can score (for your kids AND yourself 😉)

🛩️ On October 7th, head to your nearest Home Depot and build a rescue floatplane with your kid! HD often offers free Saturday morning workshops with materials and tutorials all included and this one’s a good one.

🏛️ Get free museum admission on October 7th and 8th for Bank of America cardholders. If you happen to already be banking with BOA, check out this list to see what’s available near you this weekend!

👗 Your Kids’ Clothes 👗

In keeping with the whole children theme, we’re acknowledging how expensive kids' clothes can be annually. Between your little ones outgrowing their clothes and shoes, to literally wearing them out, to dirtying them beyond repair this can be a hefty bill! 😬

So here’s your reminder to ask your friends for hand-me-downs from their kids, check out your buy-nothing groups on Facebook, look into any upcoming pop-up markets specifically for kids stuff, and scour the thrift store for what you need before you head to the store and buy new. It’s more sustainable and better for our wallets to opt for previously owned.

And if you buy new clothes frequently, you might want to consider how you have been taking care of them. Check out this Frugal Friends episode on How To Take Care Of Your Clothes (No Sewing Necessary!)
