Happy Monday!

I (Jen) am doing a lot of running right now in prep for a half marathon 🏃‍♀️ I’m doing in November.

As the distances get longer, the ads in my free Spotify account became more and more… cumbersome to stamina.

So I went out looking for a deal on music streaming and I was shocked at what I found.

🎧 Spotify is currently offering 3 months of Premium for free when you open a new account and choose PayPal as your payment option. 🎧

I immediately tried it out and it worked! I’m currently running and driving while listening to music ad-free.

This offer is good through September 15th and is for subscribers who’ve never tried Premium before so if you have you’ll need to start a new account.

Oh, and if you’ll be doing some running this fall, I highly recommend the ‘This is Fall Out Boy’ playlist. It’s only Fall Out Boy songs and trust me, you won’t miss any other artists.

🧇 National Waffle Day is August 24th. Look for deals at diners in your area (where you may be able to dress up for free chicken and waffles.) And don’t forget Waffle Mecca House. Sign up for Waffle House’s Regulars Club for a special freebie coupon.

Don’t be too disappointed if it’s not the waffletastic deal you were hoping for. WaHo actually goes WAY bigger on the promos for National Waffle Week, September 3-9.

👕 National Secondhand Wardrobe Day is August 25th. Look for deals at your local thrift store. It’s unlikely you’ll find any freebies today but we do have a coupon for 45% off + free shipping on your first ThredUP order. ( 👈 no code needed, just sign up through that link!)**

👩 Women’s Equality Day is August 26th. This year marks the 103rd anniversary of the passing of the nineteenth amendment to the constitution which gave women the right to vote.

Take time to celebrate how far we’ve come and reflect on where we can go next. Look for free events in your area like this free lunch event at Western Dakota Tech.

🥦 Your Grocery Bill 🥦

We are officially “back to school” or in my case, starting school! But right now it’s more like dropping my crying 4-year-old off into the arms of a preschool teacher. Change is hard.

Now that I spend my Sundays baking bribes to get my son into the car on weekdays (#chocolatemuffins) the one thing I don’t have time for is sitting down to meal plan. And that stinks because meal planning is the single biggest action you can take to lower your grocery bill.

But it’s like Cook Smarts heard my cry for help because right now through Wed, Aug 23rd use the code RINGTHEBELL to take 20% off Cook Smarts monthly and annual meal plans. **

Best part? You still get a 2-week free trial so if it’s not for you you can cancel before you get charged. And if you love it you have the deal locked in!

And if you snag the deal let us know about it on our Bill of The Week line!

Not everyone can have a perfectly organized closet like your college roommate. (And if you didn’t have that roommate, you were that roommate.) But it’s never too late to fold your laundry and hang your clothes. Seriously, do that.

And then go work on organizing your money. Our friend Allison has a great Budget to Build Wealth training, that’ll help you know exactly when bills are due, have enough saved up in case of emergencies, and be able to set aside funds for investing or even splurge guilt-free from time to time.
