👥 Asking for a Friend 👥

Well hello, my phone-y friends!

Yikes. That came out wrong.

But my love for alliteration outweighs my desire to change my greeting. 😈

Jill here. Posting up in your inbox today to remind you that all bills can be lowered, including your cell phone bill!

We’ve all seen increases in our standard expenses over the last few years and phone plans are no exception!

While we’re glad to see that some phone carriers are trying to find ways to keep costs low for us consumers, the taxes, fees, overages, and promotion periods ending can all lead to a final price that is more than we want to pay!

Is there anything we can do about this?!

At the end of the day, if we want to live in the 21st century and have access to all the perks of a smartphone, that’s never gonna come for free. That’s why we did a whole episode on saving on your cell phone.

TLDR? Here are some of our favorite tips from the episode on getting the best deal:

1. Take inventory of what you use: From minutes to texts to scrolling 🕒, get an idea of your patterns so that you can choose a plan that aligns with what you actually need. This guide tells you how you can check this on your phone.

2. Compare plans: Take a look at cell phone plans from various providers to find the best deal 🏷️. And look for plans that offer the features you want the most at the lowest cost. We recommend Mint Mobile all the time on the show because you all love them and they always seem to have stellar deals.

3. Got friends and family? Share with them! Many providers offer friends and family 👨‍👨‍👧‍👦 plans with reduced pricing per line added.

4. Consider refurbished or older phone models: Instead of buying the latest phone and wrapping that into your phone bill, consider purchasing refurbished or slightly older models. 📱

5. Negotiate with your provider: Call up 📞 your current provider and ask if they have any promotions or discounts available. Sometimes, they may be willing to offer you a better deal to retain your business.

Grab that phone, dial up your loved one, and let the heartwarming conversations flow. ☀️

Whether it's a family member, a friend, or that special someone, make that call and remind them how much they mean to you! 💞
